General Information of Xinxiang

Located in the north part of Henan Province,backed by Taihang Mountains in the north, neighboring Yellow River in the south,looking at Zhengzhou,capital city of Henan Province at the other side of Yellow River,Xinxiang City is an important part of the compound metropolitan area of Zhengzhou,a national central city and is the core development region of Central Plains Cities Group.

The history of Xinxiang started from the sixth year of Kaihuang of Sui Dynasty (A.D.586).It's now over 1400 years.lt was once Capital City of Pingyuan Province in the 50' s of last century. lts total area is 8249 sq km.Under its jurisdiction there are 8 counties (county-level cities),4 districts,2 state-level development zones and 1 urban-rural integration demonstration zone. lts population is 6.2million

Regional Xinxiang

Xinxiang City is an important State Council-designated central city by in north part of Henan Province and a city of national highway transportation hub and the hub of the northern part of high speed train “米” style communication in Central Pains Economic region.Beijing-Hong-Macao,Dalian-Guangzhou,Jincheng-Xinxiang and Changyuan-Jiyuan expressways and Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway,Zhengzhou-Jinan high-speed railway,Beijing-Guangzhou,Xinxiang-Heze and Xinxiang-railways,pass here.

The urban area of Xinxiang is 50 minutes' drive by expressway to Xinzheng International Airport and Zhengzhou Airport Comprehensive Economic Experimental District,2.5 hours by high speed train to Beijing,7 hours to Guangzhou. Taking Xinxiang City as the center, within a radius of 600km, there is a population of 500million.China-Europe regular train (named Xinxiang) has realized regular operation of travel 6 times one month.Xinxiang-Japan-South Korea international train-ship through transport has been successfully opened.Thus, Xinxiang is directly integrated into “the Belt and Road Initiatives” .The planning construction of Xinxiang-Rizhao Expressway will build a new passage to the sea. The three- dimensional pattern of railway, highway, air and sea transportation has shown its preliminary shape.

Xinxiang is an important part of Zhenazhou-Luovang-Xinxiang national independent innovation demonstration region and has become the “Core of Innovation” among Central Plains Cities Group,carrying the historical task of leading scientific and technological innovation and supporting the rise of middle part of China.

Now there are 1021 C&D centers of enterrises of everv kind.including 33 state-level C&D centers and 278 provincial level C&D centers. Natural Resources of Xinxiang

Xinxiang has a long history and is one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization where remains of Yangshac Culture and Longshan Culture can be seen. Now there exist state-level important historical relics:Bigan Temple,King Lu Mausoleum,White Cloud Temple,Hundred Fountains,etc. There are 9 4-A scenery sites:Wanxian Mountain,Bali Valley,Baoquan Reservoir, Jiulian Mountain, Tianjie Mountain, etc.

Taihang Mountains leave its best section in Xinxiang. t is reputed that “Taihang stretches one thousand li but its soul is in Xinxiang”.

Yellow River runs 170km in Xinxiang, opening up the longest ecological corridor in Henan Province. The flood land along the river reaches 1290 sq km,ranking No.1 in Henan Province. Within the area fores parks,Yellow River wet land and ecological leisure spending villages forms a graceful ecological tourist industry belt along the river.

Dominant Industries

Over many years development,a manufacture industry system with complete categories (34 among 41 big industrial categories,126 among medium industrial categories),rational structure, high technological content and strong matching ability has been shaped. There are 1236 industrial enterprises with annual output over RMB 5 million. Xinxiang is an important industrial base in Central Plains area. POWER BATTERY AND NEW ENERGY CAR INDUSTRY

Xinxiang is the capital of battery industry in China. National (Xinxiang) Chemical and Physical Electric Power Source Industry Park.National Battery Products Quality Supervision and Inspection Center have settled here.Henan Battery Research Institute is powerful in strength. The first piece of secondary battery and first piece of flat lithium battery membrane in China were born in Xinxiang. Xinxiang enterprise is one of the first enterprises in China that achieved breakthrough in ferro-lithium phosphate electricity conduction technology.Sanyuan Lithium Power is the major positive pole material supplier of Sumsung,LG and Mutsushita,enjoying a rather high reputation in the industry of new energy car components. Battery and battery system of 6 grand series and 1000 specifications and battery raw materials over 20 series plus spare parts can be supplied.A comparatively complete industrial chain from battery R&D,raw material, power battery to production and demonstrative operation of electric car as well as recycle of battery has been shaped.

BIOLOGY AND NEW DRUG INDUSTRY

Xinxiang is a “Base of Special Biological Drug Industry Listed in National Torch Program”,a “Base of Biological Hi-tech Industry of Henan Province” and home of hygiene materials in China and the capital of medical consumables in China. ELECTRONIC INFORMATION INDUSTRY

With Big Data Industry Park,Hongqi District Photo-electric Information Industry Park and Electronic Information Industry Park of Pingyuan Demonstration Zone as the carrier places and with integration into the construction of Zhengzhou Airport Zone, main efforts are dedicated to the development of intelligent terminal industry. Main products include transmitter-receiver, glass panel for intelligent terminals, junction field effect transistor, chip of integrated circuit, patch-type diode, special micro-drill bit and milling cutte for printed circuit board, solar energy street lamp,surveillance camera. They are extensively used in communication equipment,applied electronics,electric elements, PV and intelligent terminals. Backbone enterprises include No.22 Institute of China Electronic Science & Technology Group Inc., Communication Co.,Ltd.of China North Industries Group Corporation,Northen Vehicle Instruments,Xinrui Electronics. Xinxiang City is listed by Henan Province as a region majorly supported in the planned pattern of“multi points in one region"of intelligent terminal industry base. Now an initial industrial chain has been shaped in some fields of intelligent terminal industry.

AEROSPACE INDUSTRY

Xinxiang City is an important C&D base of air-borne equipment in China and a region where specialized development in aviation field has been realized earlier and has played an indispensible role in the field ot aircraftmanufacture in China.Over many years Xinxiang City has undertaken nearly 300 hi-new engineering projects to provide matching parts for all domestically made aircrafts and engines. At the same time making use of its specialized advantages it supplies environmental protection system, hydraulic system,fuel and lubricant system,oxygen system, etc.for space flight, missile, ship, weapons and nuclear industry. Xinxiang City provided products for the life-support system and the thermal control system for Shenzhou and successfully participated in the launch,operation and recovery of Shenzhou series and won citation several times from central government. Now there are 8 enterprises including backbone enterprises Xinxiang Aviation Group and Zhengda Aviation.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY

Xinxiang is reputed as China Famous City of Hoisting Machinery. Bridge cranes under 200t occupy more than 70% market shares in China. Large tonnage and high-end cranes occupy more than 20% market shares in China. That industry is leading domestically and a complete industrial chain has been shaped.In addition, Xinxiang has the tile of China Vibration Capital and China Filter Home. The vibratory equipment covers over 30% domestic market shares while filtration equipment industry is one of the 4 grand domestic industrial groups. Shielc tunneling equipment,air-borne equipment,digital bearing equipment, digitalized wide size printing equipment lead domestically.

TEXTILE AND GARMENT INDUSTRY

Xinxiang is one of the two Henan Provincial planned textile industry demonstration regions. The15000t/year Lyocell project put in operation by Green Fibre Company of China Textile Institute is an important breakthrough in industrialization of Green Manufacture in the field of biological base fibre in China and the only owner of full intellectual property right and fully made-in-China equipment. The project has passed State assessment of scientific and technological achievement and the integral technology has reached international advanced level.

The manufacture capacity of viscose filament yarn of continuous spinning ranks No.1 in the world,spandex fibre equipment ranks in the lead internationally, viscose fibre ranks in the lead in China, the output of cotton yarn ranks No.2 in Henan Province.

Now there are 110 enterprises whose annual main business income is over RMB5million,forming a comparatively complete industrial chain including cotton textile, chemical fiber, printing and dyeing and garment. Efforts are being made in establishment of a modern industrial concentration group led by green fibre extending toward terminals.

MODERN HOME INDUSTRY

The aim is to promote the transformation and upgrading of household electric appliance industry with Konka-Xinfei Electrics as the leading enterprise and the home products industry dominated by Yuanyang Jinxiang Home Products Industry Park. With 54 modem home products enterprises whose annual main business income is over RMB5million, Xinxiang City is one of the important bases of refrigeration industry in China, forming a complete industrial chain from terminal products to spare parts. The pattern of specialized division,industrialized cooperation and clustered development has been shaped. Terminal products include refrigerator.freezer auto air-conditioner.Matching products include evanorator condenser,precision copper tube,coated color sheet,air-conditioner tube, refrigerant, lining of refrigerator valves and packing materials.Well-known enterprises are Konka- Electrics,Haibao Electrics and Kelong Electrics.They all hold an important position in refrigeration industry in China.

Platforms of Industrial Development

ZHENGZHOU-LUOYANG-XINXIANG NATIONAL INDEPENDENT INNOVATION DEMONSTRATION REGION

Xinxiang section within the region puts stress on the development of industries of power battery and new energy car, green fiber, biology and new drug,high-end equipment manufacture, electronic information and modern agriculture to dedicate efforts to the construction of an industrial clustered development quiding zone,an ecological sample zone for innovation and business starting,a demonstration zone for coordinated regional development and a pioneer zone for structural and mechanism reformation. The planned area for the first phase is 80 sq km with“One Core and Four Zones”,i.e.Xinxiang Hi-new-tech Zone as the core zone covering Xinxiang Economic Development Zone,Pingyuan Demonstration Zone, New East Industry Concentration Zone of Hongqi District, National Chemical and Physical Electric Power Source Industry Park of Muye District, each having its prominent distictness and at the same time complementary to each other.
